Ryker
Ryker, a survivor of the seventh umbral calamity, broken and desperate, became a mercenary and swore allegiance to an infamous group. After years of working for them, he decided he had enough and one day ran away from them. He was soon hunted for betrayal but was found by a man named Royce. Seeing how Ryker became the person he is now by using the Echo, Royce decided to help him and gave him a new place to hide. Ryker sees how kind a person can be, decides to stay and follows Royce on his adventures.
Renn
Renn, a failed fusion of Hrothgar and demon, was abandoned and shunned due to his demonic horns. Surviving alone in the wild, he was eventually found by a group of Gunbreakers who, unafraid and sympathetic, took him in. They trained him in their ways, giving him purpose and the means to use his demonic aether to protect others.
